More And More And More Spiders

Are you starting to see spiders crawling around your home? It isn’t surprising. While spiders have a natural antifreeze that allows them to survive the cold temperatures of winter, they don’t prefer to be cold. In fact, the cold slows them down. When things warm up, spiders speed up too. So, it isn’t surprising at all that you’re seeing spiders.

Another thing you’re probably seeing is flies. When temperatures warm up outside, flies start to hatch and buzz around. And, since flies do just what their name implies, it is no problem for these insects to buzz right into your home and become an incentive for spiders that are living inside your walls to come out in the open for a bite to eat.

As we move through spring and into summer, you’re going to see more and more spiders as more flies are available to eat and more baby spiders are produced. There is an ecosystem around your home that, when allowed to, can work its way into your wall voids and eventually into the common areas of your home. This ecosystem never stops encroaching.

There are some things you can do to reduce or slow this encroaching ecosystem. Obviously, managing how many flies you have in and around your home is a good start. If you have sealed trash cans outside, working screens on all your windows, and a clean kitchen, you can reduce fly populations and possibly reduce spider sightings. But the only way to reduce spiders is with pest control.
When you have ongoing pest control for your home, the entire ecosystem that allows pests to live on your property and inside your home is affected. An educated pest professional knows where to apply EPA-approved products and what safety protocols are necessary to make sure that only pest creatures are targeted.

If you do nothing, you’re going to see more and more and more spiders. It is almost a guarantee. But, when you have ongoing pest control service from a pest professional like Adam’s Pest Control, you can have a pest-free home.

Can you live with spiders? Yup. But it is so much nicer to live without them.
