Wharf Borer Beetles
resource page
Back To General Wharf Borer Beetle InfoWharf borers are found in very moist wood. Larvae form extensive galleries in piling, docks, and wharves, decaying support timbers of buildings, wet flooring, wet boxes, wood buried under soil, and wood lying on damp ground, such as in crawlspaces or cellars. The presence of wharf borer beetles often indicates unsatisfactory plumbing and rotting timbers.
